Pakistan Nanga Parbat (8125m) - [ Expeditions ]

Nanga Parbat is the second highest mountain of Pakistan and the 9th highest in the world. Nanga Parbat is not a single peak but it consist of 20 km long series of peaks and ridges culminating in an ice crest of (8125m). The name Nanga parbat derived from Sanskrit word which means "Naked Mountain”. The reason for naming it Nanga Parbat is its steepness and sloppy with bereft of vegetation and snow. It is also called Diamir by the locals.


It was first climbed in 1953 by a joint Austrian - German Expedition Italian mountaineer Reinhold Messner climbed the south face (Rupal Face) with his brother Gunther in 1970, descending by the Diamir face. The third route to summit Nanga Parbat is through Fairy Meadows


Day 01          Islamabad

Arrive Islamabad. Welcome reception.

Day 02         Chilas

Drive by coach to Chilas (480km) on Karakoram Highway.

Day 03-05      Drive to Halale by jeep and trek to Diamori B.C.

Day 06-40     35 days for acclimatization and climbing.

Day 41-42      Trek down to Halale and drive by jeep to Chilas.

Day 43          Islamabad

Drive on KKH to Islamabad. Overnight at hotel.

Day 44          Islamabad

Farewell meet.

Day 45         Fly out. Transfer to airport for your return homebound flight.
